The M-Engin Academy, one component of the University of Michigan M-STEM Academies, is designed to maximize the academic, personal, and professional success of students during their undergraduate experience, with the goal of preparing them to seek career opportunities in the engineering global workforce or to attend graduate or professional school in a STEM field. Participation in the M-Engin Academy begins with a pre-first-year summer transition program that previews first-year courses, helps students become acclimated to the University environment and its many resources, while building a strong peer support community. Once the Fall Term begins, students will have access to customized advising, career guidance, learning enrichment activities, and assistance in obtaining a paid professional summer internship or research opportunity. These services and opportunities will continue throughout the undergraduate years.
